Thread the needle in cotton thread. Come up from the back of the fabric, and pull tight. Holding the cotton in your left hand, put your needle back in a next to the hole you came up in. Don’t pull it through, so you get a loop of cotton. With the needle on the back of the fabric come up at the top of the loop and stitch over once the top of the loop so you secure it to the fabric.
