After a very exciting December for Designs and Such we are very happy to announce that we are in issue 7 of Craftseller Magazine! Our little article features on page 78 and talks a little about how we came about trading and how we are managing juggling 2 jobs!

Beth, the Editorial Assistant at Craftseller, was a joy to work with, giving us advice about guidelines, image sizes, and helpful hints to get the most out of the space. Initially terrified of the thought of writing 250 words about ourselves and after a bit of writers block, we are super pleased and immensely proud of how the article turned out.

We are currently working on some designs that will hopefully feature in Craftseller in the future, they will include free templates for readers to make and sell themselves so watch this space… Designs and Such might be in print again!

Having only just launched we wanted to get some feedback on our kits and products from people in the know… so who better to ask than a St. Albans based blogger who knows a thing or two about knitting and likes all things crafty.

With this in mind we asked Mrs C if she’d mind having a go at one of our craft kits (in this case it was the Trio of Feltivity) and to let us know her thoughts… and if she wouldn’t mind, then writing up a review for us too.

We have to say we’re delighted that she “enjoyed making it” and that she appreciated that our kits contain everything you need to complete it. We also very much appreciate her honest comments about the lack of graphical aids in the instructions… we’ll be including these in all kits henceforth.

Welcome to the launch of Designs and Such!

This store is all about homemade goodies, made for you, by us. We also supply kits, a great option if you fancy getting a little creative but want all the supplies provided to you to make it a smidgen less scary. All of our items come beautifully packaged to create that local craft store gift wrapped look. They are also recyclable so you can recycle them or pass on to someone else.

This is our first crafty venture, so we have everything crossed that it is a success, so take a browse, get that credit card out and add items to that bright pink basket on the right hand side!
